As I grow older I’m seeing the importance of taking care of myself. As of late my personal stress has completely transformed my health in the wrong direction. Sleepless nights mixed with hip pain, joint pain, snoring, bellyaches, and regrets has flooded me.

Procrastinating and justification has added 30 pounds of unwanted weight. I’ve dreaded the outcome of a simple weigh in. Walking by the scale every time I’m in the bathroom is like trying to avoid an ex in public.
We celebrated an early Christmas with my side of the family this last weekend. It’s always one of my favorite times of the year. Who doesn’t love presents!?! But who also can’t wait for the Christmas treats and meals!?!
My wife has expressed a few times this last quarter of my weight gain and the amount of sweets I’m taking in. Everything she has said isn’t a surprise. I’m fully aware. I mean, I love food, I love sugar, and I love controlling my life stress with food.
So…….I decided to be smart. I’m going to try intermittent fasting. Yep! I’m going to not eat, what!? Exactly! No food after 7pm to 11am. With the wisdom from a friend and the use of the app called Life fasting timer. I’m using the free version right now. Day 1 is almost complete, I feel so hungry. I have noticed my water intake has gone up, which is a good thing.
Let’s talk after one week of this new path I’m on. Here’s a little window to my weight. I’m currently at 260lbs. I’d like to get to 230lbs.
Thanks as always for checking this blog out. I hope to inspire you with my own life and health challenges.
Merry Christmas and happy new year!
